Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween!  We did!  Here's all the kids ready to go (Leyla couldn't even sit she was so excited!).  They looked great!

Austin got right into the swing of things this year and quickly figured out what he was supposed to do.

For the third year in a row, Gavin and Zoe held hands the entire time.  Abe Lincoln and the princess, very cute.  Maybe next year we should start coordinating their outfits.  George and Martha, Adam and Eve, Bonnie and Clyde?  Just kidding!

It's not easy to wait for the little ones to catch up but Gavin and Zoe were surprisingly patient.

Someone set their Jack o'lantern on fire.  At least, I hope they set it on fire...if not, their pumpkin caught on fire.  Either way it was very entertaining.

Trick or treating is very hard work!

Halloween Preview

Today was Gavin's Halloween party at preschool so the boys got dressed up and enjoyed crafts, snacks and games. My camera broke right after the games started but here is what I got up until then.
Gavin made a very handsome Abraham Lincoln.

Austin was not thrilled with his costume but he looked really cute!
He refused to keep the hat on which was kind of sad.

Gavin enjoyed the party but quickly lost his top hat and bow tie.

They reappeared for the 'parade' into the gym.

The problem with top hats is that everyone wants to bang on the top of them making them a little hard to wear.
I did get a picture of Gavin wrapping his teacher to make her a mummy.
That's all I got! Gavin enjoyed the party and Austin enjoyed being at his big brother's school.

All About Austin

This morning Gavin was with his Gramma and then he went to school so today it was just Austin and I but we had fun together!  We went to Target this morning and when we got home Austin helped get things out of the bags and then starting using the dog and cat canned food as blocks.

We had our windows open today and it's really windy and Gavin and Austin's ghosts were dancing all around!

Austin played with Play-Doh.  I think he had more fun with the container than with the Play-Doh.

Then he played with a little game.  It's actually a color matching game where you put the bird on the egg that's the same color.  Since that's not quite where we are right now, we just focused on putting the birds on any egg.  Austin enjoyed this game!

Then it was on to Color Wonder.  I don't really like the Color Wonder stuff but it is nice that it only colors on the page.

And, the boys got their winter hats and they are way too cute (the hats and the boys)!

In honor of Halloween we had a special dinner tonight.  Okay, it wasn't so much special as it was chili with a bat shaped cheese on top but Gavin loved it!

Ghosts, Pumpkins and the Park

Friday the kids made a paper plate ghost.

They turned out cute.  We hung ours in the front window.

I had found a really cute pumpkin patch project that was perfect for Gavin but too hard for the little ones.  Since there was no school on Friday, we finally got to do it while the little ones were napping.  It turned out great and Gavin enjoyed having something a little more challenging to work on.

Then we went to the park!  Austin loves the slide!

Then the boys played with their animals.

Austin took a quick rest.

But Gavin quickly changed that!

Austin decided he likes mutton.

Much to the delight of his big brother!
