Today Gavin worked some more on his letter sounds and practiced counting. He also worked on mapping skills, which he really enjoys. Then we read two books about bats. Since it's Halloween this month, I thought books about bats and spiders were appropriate. Then he painted a bat habitat. The brown and orange are the inside of a cave, the red is a truck next to the cave, and the green is a 16 foot long fish. Then he glued two bats in his cave.
Since it's been raining all day, he hasn't gotten to go outside to play. But, he found a pack of balloons and has been playing with the one I blew up for him, batting it around the house, or quite a while. Easy, cheap entertainment - love it!
Austin hasn't been feeling well today. I think he may be teething...he's been super cranky and has been sleeping all afternoon. I've had to hold him most of the time because he keeps waking up screaming. Hopefully he'll feel better soon!
