This morning Austin made a book about insects and practiced writing cursive letter I.

For lunch we had an Egyptian feast!  We had all kinds of yummy things on the table.  I made a grilled chicken using spices they had in ancient Egypt and we also had artisan bread served with honey and/or goat cheese, dates, pomegranates, raisins, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, apples and cucumbers.

The meal was a hit.  Austin said he wished he was an Egyptian so he could eat this lunch every day!  Of course the boys won't eat chicken, which I think is really strange, so they basically had fruit and bread for lunch.

After lunch Gavin looked at his water samples from last week again.  He saw a lot more things living in the water this time since they had time to multiply over the weekend.

Gavin read the first half of this book today.

He also finished this book which we have been reading before bed.  I guess he couldn't wait to know the ending because he read the last few chapters today.
