Our Day

This morning Gavin and I read about George Muller.  We are talking about having determination and courage even when things are hard.  Then he worked on a beginning sounds worksheet.  He likes to figure out beginning sounds for some reason.  I think he sees it as a puzzle.

Then he worked on some simple math problems.  Counting to five and identifying shapes.

While Gavin worked on his work, Austin worked on his work...in this case, emptying and filling a small relish jar with erasers.  He really seemed to enjoy this activity and worked at it for a long time.

Then Austin played with his blocks and tried to stack a couple.  It didn't work super well but he tried.

Then he wanted to color because he saw his big brother coloring.  Gavin and I read a couple books about Deleware since we are going to be learning about U.S. Geography this summer.  Gavin was coloring a picture of a peach tree flower because that is Deleware's state flower.

Gavin was nice enough to feed Austin his snack (applesauce).  This activity was much enjoyed by both boys.

Then Gavin played with the farm animals because we read a book about wolves and he learned that wolves sometimes eat farm animals...and so, a new game has developed.  Fabulous...
