Yesterday the boys played outside for a little while.

This morning we went out on the trail for some nature study.  We walked part way around a lake that is drying up but the grass was over my head and there were some pretty flowers in bloom.  Austin doesn't quite get the idea of the magnifying glass, but he enjoys looking through it. 

Gavin drew a picture of a cattail in his nature journal.

Today we read lots of baby books to Austin.  We finally got some rain!!!  So it was a perfect day for reading.  Gavin and I read about Tchaikovsky, our composer of the month (we've been listening to a CD of his music).

We also read about Northeast Indians.
