I had dinosaur activities planned for Austin this morning but he just wanted to play with Play-Doh.

Gavin reviewed making four-digit numbers on his abacus.

Then we got out the multiplication cards and used them to learn about about grouping, i.e. 4 groups of 8 is 32.

We read a couple of books about dinosaurs and then a book about Leonardo da Vinci, our artist of the month.  Then we used a magnifing glass to study Mona Lisa and another portrait that da Vinci painted.  Then Gavin used colored pencils to 'paint' a self portrait, complete with landscape.

He looked in a mirror to study what he looked like.

Here is his finished masterpiece!  Those would be trees in the background.  He is in a forest.
